Transitional Nursery School
At Learning Link Transitional Nursery School, we offer a select variety of programs to meet the physical, emotional, and developmental needs of children aged 2 ½ through 3 ½ years old.
From our youngest children just outgrowing toddlerhood to our oldest who are getting ready to move into the pre-school classrooms, the teachers and caregivers at Learning Link provide a caring, nurturing environment in which your child can grow, learn and succeed.
All the programs at LLC/Transitional are staffed by CPR/1st Aid trained, experienced caregivers and teachers who work with small groups of students to provide a stimulating atmosphere in which the child can socialize, learn, master "potty-training", and most of all, have fun. Students are exposed to art and sensory experiences, computers, weekly and monthly themes, group activities, and the basics of the Montessori method of education, with its four main components of practical life, sensorial exploration, language and mathematics.
Our young students also have the opportunity to utilize the facilities of the Learning Link Pre-School programs, such as the playground, day care rooms and computer labs as well as the classroom materials.
Children enrolled in the Transitional Program are offered priority opportunities to transfer into the regular pre-school and day care programs upon evaluation of their developmental progress and when such openings are available to them.
